The Addis Ababa City Administration Feeding Agency acknowledged Ethiopian Airlines for its sustained and impactful support to community feeding programs. The recognition highlights the airline’s vital role in significantly contributing for the agency’s feeding initiatives that aims to uplift vulnerable populations across the capital.
While receiving the acknowledgment from the City Administration, Mr. Bekele Bayi Oda, Vice President of Group Human Capital Management reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to enhance its participation in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Highlighting the airline’s role in giving back to the community, Mr. Bekele mentioned that Ethiopian Airlines constructed the Tesfa Berhan Feeding Centre in Bole Sub City, Woreda 4, which currently serves 2,000 beneficiaries.
Among its notable initiatives, through ET Foundation, Ethiopian Airlines organizes annual Easter and Eid feeding program for 670 elderly and needy residents at the center; and recently Ethiopian hosted a large-scale Easter and Eid feeding programs benefiting over 700 individuals on each occasion. In Lemi Kura Sub City, Ethiopian Airlines provides budgetary support to school feeding programs, reaching 970 students. Additionally, it is also to be recalled that Ethiopian donated exercise books worth 6.5 million ETB to Koye Feche Primary School, reinforcing its commitment to educational access.
During the recognition event, the Addis Ababa City Administration extended heartfelt gratitude to all institutions that have consistently supported the Agency’s mission, commending their unwavering dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities. Ethiopian Airlines was prominently acknowledged for its key contribution to advancing inclusive social impact through sustained collaboration.
