ET Foundation donated 60,000 exercise books (5000 dozen), valued at approximately 6.5 million Birr, to Koye Feche Primary School, on September 30, 2024. W/ro. Zenebework G/Tsadik, Group Vice President, Human Capital Management (Group VP HCM), presented the school materials to students through the school principal and the Head of the Koye Feche Sub City Education Bureau.

Handing over the exercise books, W/ro. Zenebework said, “At Ethiopian Airlines, we believe that education is the foundation of progress, and we are committed to playing our part in helping young minds reach their full potential.”

This generous donation, part of ET Foundation’s ongoing commitment to education and youth development, will benefit 6,000 students who have been in dire need of exercise books. The exercise books feature Ethiopian pilots and crew on the cover, designed to inspire students to aspire to careers in aviation.

The Head of the Education Bureau Mr. Deslaegn Fetene on his part said, “On behalf of the bureau, the students and the school, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Ethiopian Airlines and ET Foundation for this invaluable contribution. We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this donation in our students’ academic journeys.”

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the VP of HCM, Manager of ET Foundation, the Head of the Education Bureau, Sub-City administrators, members of the Parents’ Committee, students, and the school principal. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and appreciation.

ET Foundation has been consistently engaged in initiatives to support education, providing vital resources to schools. This donation is just one of many ways the foundation positively impacts the lives of children and young students. Ethiopian strongly believes that initiatives like these are crucial for helping students reach their full potential and building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
