Ethiopian Sponsors Medical Travel of Conjoined Twins, Visits Deborah Foundation

On March 9, Ethiopian Airlines sponsored medical travel for conjoined twins, heading to Chicago for further treatment. Held at Nordic Medical Centre, the farewell event brought together Ethiopian Airlines’ Executives including Group A/Vice President for Human Capital Management (HCM), dignitaries, medical professionals, and supporters. The airline’s sponsorship of flight tickets ensured comfort and ease for the beneficiaries’ journey. Ethiopian wishes the twins a safe and successful treatment journey, hoping for their swift recovery and healed return.

In another remarkable gesture, Ethiopian Airlines Executives and employees, drawn from various divisions, visited Deborah Foundation on March 14, 2025, interacting with children with special needs and touring facilities like classrooms, training rooms, entertainment areas among others. Key figures, including Mr. Abadula Gemeda, founder of the Deborah Foundation, Mr. Lemma Yadecha, Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Bekele Bayi, A/Vice President of HCM, Mr. Megersa Asfaw, President of EAGPBTU and other presented during the visit. The esteemed leaders emphasized the vital role of collaboration in nurturing the potential of the children and creating a brighter, more inclusive future. The airline’s ongoing contributions, such as sponsoring life-saving surgery travels, highlight its commitment to empowering vulnerable children.
