In line with its philanthropic commitment to humanitarian assistance, Ethiopian Airlines Group, through ET Foundation, has donated different humanitarian items to Afar Region to support the displaced people due to natural disaster (hurricane).

The Addis Ababa City Administration Feeding Agency acknowledged Ethiopian Airlines for its sustained and impactful support to community feeding programs. The recognition highlights the airline’s vital role in significantly contributing for the agency’s feeding initiatives that aims to uplift vulnerable populations across the capital.

A Youth Champions Training closing and recognition program was conducted on July 29, 2025, at the Ethiopian Aviation University auditorium in the presence of government officials, Embassy of Canada officials, officials of CPAR (Canadian Physician for Aid and Relief), representatives from Ethiopian Airlines, and other invited guests.

Ethiopian Airlines Group celebrated Easter holiday by hosting a feeding program at the Tesfa Berhan Feeding Centre located in Bole Sub-City, Wereda 4, on April 20, 2025. The initiative provided meals to over 700 individuals in need, reinforcing the airline’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility.

ET Foundation demonstrated its ongoing commitment to health philanthropy by donating much-needed medical equipment, supplies, and accessories to the FDRE Ministry of Health on November 5, 2024.

Ethiopian Airlines has been bestowed a GOLD level award by Addis Ababa City Mayor for the contribution it made on humanitarian support in the year 2016 E. C. Ethiopian Airlines has been supporting communities with feeding services, construction of low cost housing to those of whom that are in need and construction of a feeding center.

At the program, esteemed government officials including, Mr. Jantirar Abay, Deputy Mayor of Administration, Mrs. Alemtsehay Shiferaw, Bole Sub City Administrative Head, Mr. Kifle Girma from the Bole Sub City office, Mr. Retta Melaku, Chief Operating Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Executive management staff and others attended this feeding program.
