Humanitarian aid

ET Foundation demonstrated its ongoing commitment to health philanthropy by donating much-needed medical equipment, supplies, and accessories to the FDRE Ministry of Health on November 5, 2024.

Ethiopian Airlines has been bestowed a GOLD level award by Addis Ababa City Mayor for the contribution it made on humanitarian support in the year 2016 E. C. Ethiopian Airlines has been supporting communities with feeding services, construction of low cost housing to those of whom that are in need and construction of a feeding center.

Ethiopian Airlines Group, a rapidly expanding global airline brand, and Africa’s leading aviation group, recently commemorated the Easter program at Tesfa Berhan Feeding Centre No. 2. At the program, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Group CEO and Executive management staff, and others attended this feeding program from Ethiopian Airlines Group. 

Ethiopian Airlines Group, a rapidly expanding global airline brand, and Africa’s leading aviation group, recently commemorated the Eid-al-Fitr program at Tesfa Berhan Feeding Centre No. 2. At the program, esteemed government officials including, Mr. Jantirar Abay, Deputy Mayor of Administration, Mrs. Alemtsehay Shiferaw, Bole Sub City Administrative Head, Mr. Kifle Girma from the Bole Sub City office, Mr. Retta Melaku, Chief Operating Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Executive management staff and others attended this feeding program. 

Ethiopian Airlines Group Foundation donated about 100,800 exercise books worth ETB 8,064,000 for nearly nine thousand primary and secondary school students in various regions including Gumbichu, Chefe Donsa, (Goditi and Tulufera, elementary schools) the area where ET 302 accident took place. The donation event was held on the 13th of October, 2022 at the Ethiopian premise in the presence of Ethiopian Group Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Lemma Yadecha, Group AVP HCM, Mrs. Zenebework G/Tsadik, and other invited management members.
